New Antec HCG Pro ATX3.1 80+ Platinum PSUs available at OCUK and reviewed by Kitguru

Does seem to be taking sometime, I don't really need the 1200w but I've changed my order so much I don't want to mess OC about anymore. I was still waiting on 2 other items that were in stock , no idea if they were picked for my order but they are both out of stock again.

The 1000W would have worked for me too, though the price difference is small so it was worth the extra for the 1200W for me. I prefer my PSU's to run a lower load capacity, it's served me well over the years so far.

Same here, I did have the Season 1000w PX in my basket that was also on pre-order but the 1200w Antec was cheaper.

As this is made by Seasonic, does anybody know if the 90 degree 12v-6x2 cable made by Seasonic will be ok to use with this psu? I’m trying to prepare for a 5090 and I don’t think I’ll have enough room between the gpu and glass for a regular cable if I get one of the gpu’s with the larger width, as your supposed to give the cable 35mm before bending.

Also it never seems to be in stock anywhere?

That cable is listed as compatible with Seasonic Vertex PX, which the Antec is based on. So in theory it should work.
Seasonic provide a pinout but I haven't found this info from Antec. Hopefully Ace Modder can confirm.

It is odd that the AIBs do not angle the connector like Nvidia does on the FE.

What PSU would you recommend for a 5070ti and a top end processor?
Can you define "top-end"? There's a big difference between the power consumption of a 14900K and a 9800X3D, for example, but as said: I'd set a minimum of 850, up to 1200.

Right now I have a 13600k but I will look to upgrade in the coming years to something much more powerful - if it makes an appreciable difference to gaming at 1440p.

Not really, but even so, if there's a possibility you will upgrade to e.g. a 14900K, I'd move up from 850 to 1000 (since they can use 150+ even in games and 300-400+ in multithreaded apps).

9800X3D is only top end in games, outside of this it's mid-range
In R23 it only gets just over half the 14900k multi-core score and this performance difference can be seen in many apps as well

With a 5070ti 850w would be plenty even with a 14900k. The CPU will pull less than 100w in most games and will rarely see 150w
In heavy apps, like encoding, it will peak at about 300w if the MB bios is unlocked to allow this and with sufficient cooling. Otherwise it'll top out at 250w - 280w

I was using my 13900k and 4090 on a 750w PSU with no problems at all so there is no need for an upgrade if @Farore is currently using an 850w PSU. Not yet anyway. Maybe with a future upgrade.
