New Apple Hardware - Today?

Right click works fine in work when I leave my left finger on the mouse, always has! I must not have sausage like fingers!

For the magic mouse it's a different story, something that may annoy me and amongst a few other things putting me off getting one now!

That's design, it's how it's supposed to work. It's not a fault.

Due to the Mighty Mouse’s touch-sensitive nature, it doesn’t only consider pressure as a means of input like a regular mechanical button mouse. It also knows where you’re touching. If you’re resting your left finger on the top of the mouse while clicking with your right finger, the Mighty Mouse doesn’t know which one you meant to use and automatically reverts to the default left-click. You must lift your left finger off the mouse completely — at least a centimeter above the surface — for a right-click to register.

It can't, it literally can't. That is how it works. It's not a fault, it's not a case of some of them doing it, they all do that because it's how they're designed to work.

I demand a video of this right click you do with both fingers on the mouse, and if I see it I shall surmise you are using the powers of your mind to do it.

Or holding control

I used the mouse for the first time in the Apple Store today & must say its a bit of a let down for me. More due to the uncomfy ergonimics than anything else...

Have to commend them for trying something new but for me the shape is just all wrong. Each to their own though as bet there are lots out there that will love it. Just not my cup of tea...

In all fairness to them, it was a heck of a challenge to create a new Mighty Mouse that was even more form over function than the last one. They've done pretty well!

Not sure I like the swipe.. I'd end up accidentally throwing the thing off the desk :D

4 finger exposé on the MB/MBP trackpads though, that is excellent.

Yeah, the original Mighty Mouse is a crime against humanity. There is no defence.
The Mighty Mouse wasn't the start of their crimes against the human hand.

Remember the iMac mouse? Look at the state of it.

I kinda like my one having had it all of a couple of hours, more comfortable than the old mighty mouse and the fancy features seem to work quite well really. Not sure it's worth £55 but I guess there's a design premium.

I've just got mine, it's really good. A bit too flat though to be honest, not as ergonomic and the wireless mighty mouse, but as for performance, spot on.

Kinda miss the squeeze button for expose, but with a software update I'm sure there'll be more use for two finger swipes. :)
