New Backup Solution Needed

Pricey? As far as I can tell it's $10 a month per device so unless you have multiple devices then it seems pretty cheap.

Still too much for me, but if you're not bothered by the cost then I don't see any reason why not.

If you want unlimited the only good options are Crashplan and Backblaze, and Backblaze don't support servers so never considered it.

Otherwise you're going with a capped storage amount, or pay per GB.
 
I only need about 5TB's worth in total but more is better :) Crashplan works out at only a little than what I am paying now I think so I will probably have a look at it.

Yeah you're comfortably into the territory where Crashplan / BB will be very competitive. And of course once you've got unlimited, it's always easy to up it in the future!
 
Crashplan seems to be the winner here! Just signed up for a free 30 day trial and I am already in love with the app for it :) and it works on Server 2016 :D

Sorry folks for yet another necro here...

Crashplan is out the window! The stupid thing just keeps stopping from running and the service won't restart, I have mucked and messed about it with it now for like a month or more and I have finally lost my rag with it!

So back to recommendations then please folks, I can't believe it is this hard to get a backup solution in this day and age that works and doesn't cost a fortune.
