Our Island equivalent of your NSL is 40mph.
The majority of roads are 30mph, with some 20mph and all "Green Lanes" are 15.
With an S2000 you could probably get up enough speed to jump to the mainland![]()
Would have to go up a ramp. That's a hill.
No chance![]()
Can you really get any enjoyment out of a sports car on such a small island with such a draconian speed limit?
Unless you just ponce around like Bergerac and make it look like you're going faster than you really are
I can't imagine it's exactly hard for the authorities to enforce the limits on any road worth driving on.
It'd be interesting to hear your perspective on it.
Yes, you can get enjoyment out of it. It can be frustrating at times but to be perfectly honest with you this car is capable of breaking your NSL limit in 2nd and motorway speeds are gone very shortly after VTEC in 3rd. The fun comes with the winding roads that you cannot safely break the limit on anyway. Not a huge amount of fun to be had with straight line speed alone.
My 106 can pass 60mph in 2nd, and doesn't need VTEC to pass 70 in 3rd
Therefore, my car is better than yours![]()
