New BMI Calculation :D

Again, not going to bother.
I have quite a lot of muscle, especially on the legs and arms. I'm normal weight, but the high end of it.

Still means bugger all, I'm on the 25.5 line yet I'm running 50km per week at the moment training for a marathon + dirty rat race weekend with rock climbing thrown in twice a week.

Still, I've always seen it as a guide to the level of stress your joints are under (even those big lads who power lift wont be doing the joints any good at a BMI of 30+)

Did anyone actually read the article? xD

The new formula is now:
1.3xheight/weight^2.5

Basically, if you're below about 5'6 you've gained points, if you're taller, you've lost points...

I really don't see the point in trying to "improve" the BMI calculation.

It's an approximation, that assumes an average bodybuild so it's flawed however it's calculated.

Just let it be as a simple approximation.

My old score was 22.7, new value is 22.5 but it clams my BMI is 0.3 lower than the old system (must be down to rounding).
