New Bond Theme Gets First Play

its pretty average... its not terrible but it doesnt particularly feel like a bond song. maybe it will be better once its seen and heard in context rather than just on its own.

Pure tat if you ask me. The first 20secsare good, then just loses the plot.

They sound like the vocals were recorded in the bathroom.

It's not too bad at all in my opinion. I think that getting two people to perform it gives it a sort of cheesy quality, like they weren't taking it seriously. For a Bond song, it doesn't feel right. I think the instrumental melodies and the vocal melodies stir up that Bond feeling, but something about the whole arrangement just doesn't capture that Bond magic that Cornell got down to a tee.

I will give it a chance though.

EDIT: I just got to the "woooo woooo" part and the keyboard solo... WTF?!?? :(

EDIT again: Well I have to say... Damn it's catchy.

Holy **** what were they thinking.....

I thought Chris Cornell did a great job with the last one, really felt like a Bond tune but this is just horrid.

Yea, it doesn't flow at all and I think it doesn't have enough Bond strings.

I didn't like the Cornell track when I first heard it, but when I saw the film it fit very well.

I think lupe fiasco - streets on fire is actually quite a good example of what a modern James Bond theme could be like.

It's grown on me throughout the day, and I have to say... I don't think it's too bad. It's not even close to being a patch on You Know My Name though.

In my opinion: Musically it sucks balls, but I actually think seeing the credits rolling with a bond theme can really make it. Once I see the film I think it'll grow on me.

Still not a patch on you know my name though :D

like the white stripes (except that conquest song) but i dont know what to make of this, some of its good some of its bad. for your eyes only is amazing though :p
