New build 3Dmark06 score check...

Most I've got was 10496 with this:

e2160 @ 3Ghz
2Gb Corsair @ 1146Mhz 6-6-6-15
OcUK IP35 Pro
HD3850 512Mb @ 759/900

So yeah, with your higher CPU and GPU speeds, that looks spot on mate. Next up, pencil mod and/or crossfire

I get 7400 with setup in sig, so I guess extra ghz on processor made the diff

The ram speed must really help the 3870 over the 3850 with only its ddr3. I got 9600 3dmark06 with a 3850 personally

Not exactly slow, so this guys result is good tbh

Actually Im wondering how Cairnsey got a better 3dmark06 so it must be the main ram because I was running it at stock speeds for a long time.




And re your post, 3dmark06 is all about the cpu which is a bit pants tbh because most games arent

3dmark05 score as 14217, its a bit less biased. same 3850 spec

Ok so Ive just run 3dmark 05, managed to get the vram from 1266 to 1300mhz.

Ran it last night in DX10, (I'm on Vista 64) came out at 30.92fps. Is it right that its lower than a lot of the DX9 benchies I've seen.

You can still run it dx9 on vista if you like. Best result I got while trying on a 2900xt was 35fps, nothing amazing but I played the demo through again afterwards on delta and its nicely playable at about 40fps or more.

Only problem is my northbridge temp got to 55c

Having looked around some other benchies, it seems about right. I'll run the DX9 tonight and see what it comes in at.

I'll only ever use the benchy for Crysis anyway as the game is pap and sat collecting dust on my shelf.

Yea dx9 should make a difference. If you want a real test see if you can get into double figures for very high 1680x1050

You should play crysis on delta only as its stupidly easy and the ai is a bit crap
