My current planned build is:

1. Asus GTX670 NVIDIA DirectCU II Overclocked Graphics Card - 2GB
2. Intel CPU i5 4670K Socket 1150 Quad Core Haswell CPU With Heat Sink Fan
3. Asus Z87-K Intel Z87 Socket 1150 Motherboard
4. Fractal R4
5. Silver Arrow Cooler


- Can someone please spec me some suitable RAM, an SSD and a PSU?
- Is the Asus GTX670 the best GTX 670 card/quietest?
- Is the mobo alright?

I don't really care for super blinding speeds on the SSD, moreso reasonable space and fast boot/opening times.
Hoping to pull the trigger tonight at last! thank you everyone!

Will I get sound AND video through HDMI on this rig? Really want to simply hook this up to my TV!

Sadly the 7970 is out of the question at its current price point of £250+. GTX 670 runs at £200. I've read countless reviews and discussions and the GTX 670 at the same price seems far better than the 7950 TF3.. which is also on pre-order... !! Need to build this baby by Wednesday!





I'll go for the gigabyte board. Can you please link me the board? does it allow HDMI audio?

Stulid, thank you for your help. Only problem is I'm on a very tight budget. I'm looking for my PSU + RAM to be priced at around 60 a piece preferably, with the SSD as low price as it possible also (can it be any cheaper than 86 for 120GB or am I asking for too much?).
 
Money is an issue with the motherboard. I can't afford to spring £40 more.

Will this suffice: Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 Socket 1150 Motherboard and give me decent overclocking potential and HDMI audio?
 
What does the black PCB mean?

I have no plans to crossfire as I fear by the time my card is rubbish, I'll upgrade due to the developments in VRAM in future textures.
 
My PC does not have a window so I'm not arsed at all what colour the RAM or mobo is. ATM my cart is:

Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 Socket 1150 Motherboard or Asus Z87-K guys? Do I lose anything by going from the Asus to the Gigabyte?

Thank you. As I'm on a bit of a budget and the black RAM matches the mobo.. shall I just get the 1600? Surely the 1833 will give me a very very marginal if non-existant increase in performance?

ended up ordering the Asus GTX670 Nvidia 2GB card, 4670k, Asus Z87-K, 8GB of Corsair LP RAM 1600, Silver Arrow CPU Cooler, 600wat Corsair cooler all housed in a Fractal R4 case with a 1TB HDD.
