Right click those two sections that make up the 2TB drive and delete the volumes.

sorry i dont understand ..which 2 ...i thought 1 was the SSD and onother was the 2tb hhd ...John

Don't do that mate.... he won't be able to boot into windows nor will a repair work unless windows is smart enough to recreate the 100meg boot partition

Isn't he doing a clean install?

Hes done/doing a fresh install to the SSD with the SATA cable detached to the 2TB.

I hope so... OP You're better off swapping the sata cables around for both drives.... delete all partitions during the windows 7 installation and instructing the installation to use the whole of SSD for the windows 7 install

I can barely see the picture on my phone at the moment.

No worries.... OP just unplug the 2TB and see if you can boot.... If you can then it's safe to say that you can delete the partition on the 2TB drives if not you're dependent on the 100meg boot part on the 2TB which means...........................................

last night i reinstalled windows on ssd with hdd unpluged and booted up without hdd pluged in ..does this help ...John

Sounds good ... delete partitions e and f and you should be good to go

i have put some files on f drive will i lose these if i delete it ...

right i think were there now...i have deleted the 2 partitions and now left with this....

Yip that's done bud.

C:\ is your SSD with the windows files,boot and page file on. D:\ is your 2TB storage drive. You never get the full capacity after formatting so dont worry about that.....you are now good to go
