New build Not working

One idea which I dont know if you checked or not, have a look where the jumper is on the mobo which allows you to reset a BIOS without removing the battery. If the jumper is located on the wrong pins then some motherboards wont turn on or boot. It is worth a try as I had a board come like this once and took ages to find out why the pc wouldnt boot.

It will say CMOS clear or something similar, a 3 pin connector on board and the jumper will be on 2 of the 3 pins, then you move the jumper so that it is covering the middle pin and end pin. It is worth a try. Also is the CPU fan connected on the right header on the motherboard.

just got the system powered on, entered bios..
after about 5 seconds, heard a massive crackle like a lightbulb busting and now the systems not turning on at all....

note: the gpu was not connected, therfore it wouldent seem like a lot of power were being used from the sysem when I heard the pop.

Hi mate. I bought this same Corsair PSU. Built my system. Switched it on. Fans spinning and everything fine for a few seconds and then pop.

Been reading on google about this PSU and so many people seem to be having problems with it.

Just about to sort an RMA on it but kinda regretting going with this PSU.

Good luck.

The good thing is that i didnt buy this psu ;]
I was thinking about it but it wasnt stock, saved by no stock! haha :D

Seems strange that Corsair seems to messed up their psu`s pretty bad... Such a reputable copmany, but knowing their costumer support should be sorted.

Recently they had problems with their H100, PSU`s, Corsair Vengeance ram, something is going badly for them.

anyone suggest what i should do next? can't test another
PSU, and cannot contact Ocuk over the phone till tommorow. I have however dropped them an notice in the component support section, so should expect some feedback from them after today, with it being Sunday today.
