I have a friend that has a £300 budget for a new build (surfing, gaming) and the job of assembling it has fallen to me. While i am looking forward to it i have to admit its been a while since i have done one, maybe 18 months
.
I really don't know what's getting the reviews these days so i will post what i feel would be good and then you can all have fun picking it to bits
.
Sound card, G card (HIS 3870), Monitor, mouse + keyboard have already been sourced.

Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 Intel H55 - £55.99

That's around £300, i wouldn't mind saving some money as he is going to need an operation system aswell, i was thinking windows 7 but i am not sure what its like with games that are a few years old aswell as recent releases.
