New Build - Won't Work...

You guys are all so helpful, thank you very much. If my account had been approved sooner I would have defo come to overclockers first.

I've contacted the company that I bought the board off, so hopefully they'll exchange :D
If not I may attempt to unbend them (but honestly i really don't get how they bent in the first place)

I really thought it was the PSU at 1st (lights flickering etc), but from what everybodys said it must be the mobo.

Gigabyte told me to go back to the dealer.....the dealer keep asking forpics saying they are not clear enough (even though i've sent 5 clear ones)....

Hi guys,

Happy New Year to you all!

The mobo, Ram and CPU just come back from giga. The Mobo pins were repaired & apparently the other parts were tested on the board. The cpu+cooler were still attached to the board when it arrived, so i left them & put the pc together again.

Now when i press the power button the LED's turn on for literally a second (if that), then there is no sign of life.....none whatsoever.

Any ideas? tried with 1 stack of ram, resetting cmos, taking the parts that are not req out (i.e gfx card).

Power Supply Corsair 500W ATX12V - No way to try another. Thinking of taking it to a shop so they can try.

I've tried resetting the CMOS yeah

Sorry. Didn't read latest update.

Have you removed the CPU to double check all the pins have been bent back correctly?

seems strange it wont work after gigabyte repaired it,only difference I can think of would be that they tested with different psu and memory

Unplug the GPU and any hard drives. I had a pc that would not power on once and it was a bad sata power cable.

If it was me I would just sit the motherboard on its box and plug in the PSU and jump the pins to start it.

It was definitely tested with another PSU, memory i'm not sure.

I'll try this.

I haven't touched it tbh. They left it attached to the board so I've been too scared to remove it ;D

Tried without GPU+HDD.....still nothing.
Place the board+psu (nothing else) and try? What do you mean by jump the pins.

The thing I don't get is the problem I had before I sent the parts off for rma was that it would shutdown after 15sec....now it doesn't power at all.
