New Build - Wrong Case =(

Hehe I was told it is'nt their fault, because there is nothing to say that it could be the R1 or the R2, and that I shouldnt have based my order completely on the pictures pretty much. I am hoping they now make seperate products for the R1 and R2 with clear pictures of each now though as I doubt I would be the only one to make that "mistake".

I guess I will have to build my Intel PC in this Case that says AMD for now -.-

Is there anyone you know local to you thats looking for such as case? sell it straight to him and order a new one?

As postage to return it wont be cheap.

But you didnt? you based it on the product description and name.

Doesn't the AMD edition have a black interior?

That would mean that they have misdescribed the product:

The interior has a great red finish which looks stunning which is showcased via the great looking clear side window.

What they have described could only be the PC-K62R1 with a black exterior and a red interior.

They should pay for the case to be returned and refund you.

Well, I am just getting by with it for now, I think they are going to collect it, but I kinda need it and to order a new case now, I wont get it till Monday, plus I really want the K62 blue, so meh, I am gonna have to wait

And yea, claiming it is in anyway not their fault is really quite stupid, I should get a refund and free shipping on the new one + not have to pay to ship this one back.

Particularly as I have just paid them £900 for the rest

Anyhow, I am keeping it for now, and when the blue one is in stock, I will order it, and ring them to refund me on this one, and collect it, then rebuild it in this one (although If I do that I would need to order Thermal Paste aswell I would imaging?). Or atleast that was what the guy on the phone said

So they're happy for you to use the case for a week, a month or longer, and will still refund you?

Hmm true, well, I can still build it in the case cant I? Pretty sure all it is is an AMD logo on the case

Or will it have different connectors or anything...

True they probably wont let me do that, but seriously its not my fault, I need it now for some work, and I cant send it back

I'd send it back, get a refund and order what you want from elswehere if it's not in stock at OcUK. You can't really use that case for a few weeks/months then expect to send it back as it'll definitely be "used" rather than "as new" then.

Well I can get by with the case, I can always use some Stickers, put a nice one over the AMD logo lol

But is there any reason I wouldnt be able to build it in this case?

You want to check if they will pay for sending it back mate, I was sent the wrong mobo on my build and I had to pay to send it back. can see a case being fairly expensive to post.

The cases are physically the same as far as I can see it's just the colour scheme that's reversed and the AMD logo.

The AMD has more red LED fans. 1 at the front and 2 at the top with a non-LED fan on the rear. The "normal case" has LED fans on the front and rear with non-LED fans at the top.

Spending that much on a case, I wouldn't be happy just to "make do" with whatever turns up tbh.

You went via the site and the description so no YOU didn't order the wrong one, IMHO OcUK have either misdescribed this or justs ent you the wrong one, that isn't what you ordered and therefore they shoudl arrange collection tbf

I think he's on about having to pay to send something back that was sent to you in error, You shouldn't have to when its not your mistake.

yeh +1 to that.

I've never heard of having to pay for a return that isn't your fault.

Companies like OC would never do that.
