I think I don't like it! The front = mean and fab but the coupe over all looks a bit too short and sitting too high? Especially in the rear half of the car.

Shame they're not going to do an E63 AMG coupe as that's a perfect coupe shape.

e: I might like it actually if they put the regular C63 AMG multispoke wheels on it, they look ace.

^ It looks better than the CLC Coupe (which isn't hard, considering it looks absolutely awful) but its still not a patch on the E-Class coupe design.

I suppose if someone does want an E Class AMG powered coupe they can always approach Brabus who will gladly bung a v12 Bi-Turbo in there

Saying that though, with the E550 with AMG kit producing almost 400BHP and 0-60 in 5s I don't think anyone is going to long for a pure AMG version any time soon

I had a go in one of these today, absolutely fantastic car. A huge improvement over the old CLC which (as noted) I hated.

Interior is a lot better too, much more like the E-Class.

An improvement over the CLC?

What an odd comment, thats like saying the 3 Series Coupe is an improvement over the 1 Series. The CLC is a C Class hatchback targetted at the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series.

I don't think it has - it's just filling a gap in the model range left by the old CLK.

The old 'C Class Coupe' and later rebrand to CLC were simply the Mercedes equivilent of the 3 Series Compact and later the 1 Series.

This new car is quite obviously a 3 Series Coupe/Audi A5 rival. Which is why it costs more.

Well, in that case I'd like to express my delight that they dropped the CLC now, I really didn't like it. At all.

I see a lot of them though, so it must have sold quite well.

They've just copied the three quarter design from BMW including the Hoffmeister kink. Doens't look too bad as a result, though headlights and grille are gash.
