New Car 20k budget

I've sat in one thanks and, although good and a definite step up from the old Focus, it's not up to Audi standards I'm afraid, although personally I think it's more than a match for VW's latest.

Golf Mk5 v Focus Mk2 in terms of quality is no contest. Golf Mk5 wins hands down.

I have to agree, if I don't have another Audi I will really miss the interior. I love their interiors.

Audi A4 Quattro Sport V6 2.5 TDI/3.0 FSI? They're very nice - will be cheaper than a 3 too, so you could get a newer one.

Nahhhh, Id want a B7 really, not so over keen on the older ones

Have one out on the drive. 95 2.0 turbo auto. Had it since yesterday.

I can't see past the image though. They're just too 'old'. Comfortable but nothing more really.

Well tbh I was more impressed with the interior of the ST I sat in than I am with the interiors of the 5 Mk5 Golfs we have at work. I don't know how the interior of the ST compares to more run-of-the-mill Focuses though.

Although I stand by my visual observations of the interiors, having not been in a moving Mk2 Focus I couldn't say what it was like for solidity (i.e. squeaks and rattles) though. I do know the Mk5 Golf is pretty solid in this regard.

Good man :D. The facelift 330 Sport Coupe's with the LED rear lights look fantastic.

Yes I like these a lot.

I have been looking at the BMW site. Might pop down to my dealer to have a look at what used ones they have.

Did an insurance quote on Tesco's came out at 867 which is ok.

Velocity get a Honda Civic Type R man! It is one of the safest, most reliable cars around and surprisingly economical, doing 30mpg combined. Factor into this an amazingly comfortable driving position and interior and 0-60 in around 6.6 seconds and there you have your 'hot hatch'. :)

P.S As a total BMW noob what does the CI bit stand for after 330?

C = Coupe, and I assume the 'i' means 'injection'. In substance the 'i' means it's a petrol car, a 'd' would mean diesel.

Hmm a 330D with a remap will add another 45bhp and 60lbs/ft of torque.

Interesting, bet that goes like a rocket!

Yes, the 330D will be faster than the 330i. I went for the D for the fuel economy, and also the fact that I prefer the way diesels drive.
