Blimey are those charges typical for PCP type plan , seems extremely fussy to.me.

Really?

I've never had to pay anything though I have only ever traded in/part ex'd. Not just handed the car back.

Charges seem bizarre anyway, £12 for bumper? £12 for what exactly?

Kerbed alloys I can understand and those rotors are expensive to repair.

Dont forget when these cars go back out in the market buyers expect them to be pretty much 'as new'.

I've never had a company car not PCP/lease type affair.

I think that stone chips being held against you is ridiculous is this common?

If you're leasing then the car suppliers normally adhere to the BVRLA fair wear and tear guide, which generally excludes things like stone chips, minor scuffs, slightly marked wheels, etc. i.e. they won't charge you for them unless it's excessive.

As for PCP, it would only affect the vehicle's valuation I'd have thought.

Just a quick Question

If you have the list near ish by, was the Touran TDi on there? I'm looking at that through the scheme with my step mum but haven't got a price yet?

Only if it's deemed 'excessive' and they are deep which they were in this case. They joked saying it was probably due to 'Audi' driving alluding to me driving up people's backsides. This obviously wasn't the reason as I drove this car in the same way as I did my green Leon which didn't fail on stone chips.

Never seen a Touran on the list in the 3 times I've had it over the past year.

Our company cars are through Lex and the return guidlines are daft, ie a max of 10 stonechips per forward facing panel, which is daft on a 75k 3 year old car, lex charge us the cost of repair and then admin charge on top. The company basically give every car a full on front end respray before they go back, as aparently it works out cheaper!

Ive had 2 company cars, and both have had all 4 wheels refurbed and full front resprays and every scratch and ding repaired, basically mint before they go back. Annoyingly the cars end up straight at auction anyway :(

So I was told sometime back that my 1st and 2nd choice didn't go through, and was under the impression I would get a further list of cars they can order short notice for delivery in October. That didn't happen, so my brother sent a few emails and put in my requirements for the next car. They had a look at and came up with the following:

Model: Passat Saloon SE Business 2.0 TDI 150PS 6-Speed DSG 4-door
Exterior Colour: Deep Black pearlescent
Total RRP: £26755
Cost: £138/month.

So looks like I came out of this with the Passat after all, albeit a less spec and slower engine. Overall though it should be a great car to have from October as our first baby is due then.

I'm enjoying the current Leon for the same reason I liked my first one, however I don't like 2.0TDI as much as the 1.8TFSI. Get my next list at the start of October for my next car in April.

Passat looks good in black but it will be a pain to keep clean over winter.

Congrats on your little one :)

You'll regret not getting a Variant :p
My A6 Avant is full just with our gargantuan Emmaljunga pram :o

I think the new Passat is a bit marmite but sod it, big safe car for peanuts. What do you reckon you'll get next? I suggest a Superb!

Thanks :)

What I'll get next depends entirely on what's on the list at the beginning of October. I may go for a A4 avant if they have one.

It certainly looks the part, but why do all car makers insist on making a silly face from the steering wheel and dials? It really gets on my wick.

scrolled back to the top. saw silly face.
giggled.

will need to check my wheel in the morning now lol.

and here it is, first few snap shots.

Number plate is amusing aww :p
