New Car Search - Possible Estate

And my 530i, which is 228g/km :(

The current 530i is an amazing technical acheivement - it is economical (37mpg combined), it has low emissions, the company car tax is the same as the diesel as it doesnt attract the diesel surcharge, it is fast and it is powerful. But nobody cares, people don't even bother to test drive them before ordering brand new diesels instead. People just default to diesel, meaning finding a 530i used is very, very difficult. Such a shame.

Update....

I'm now a black van man, or will be shortly, having put down the deposit on an 06 plate 530i M Sport Touring with Media Pack, Visability Pack, Comfort Seats and 22k on the clock.

Carbon black, de-chromed with privacy glass, which is a little bit drug dealer for me and my conservative home counties attitudes, but I still think it's beautiful.

Will sort out pitcures shortly, if anyone is interested.

shame it doesn't have climate control, but the comfort seats are überwin

agree with fox regarding the wheels, never been a fan of MV2s. change them asap :D

Unfortunately she was a little over what I wanted to spend, so there is nothing left in the pot for mods.

The comfort seats were what sealed the deal for Mrs Asprilla.

It hits my four main requirements: Vis Pack, Media Pack, Comfort Seats, interior and exterior colors / materials. TBH, I hadn't even thought about climate control. Might be missed a little, but not as much as the heated seats would have been.

It has climate control, it's just rubbish climate control - you used to have to pay for Advanced Air Conditioning to get dual zone etc (although the 535d and V8's had it as standard)

Thankfully they scrapped it on the LCI models (except the 520d, presumably as it's cheap).

Since I've just spent a lot of cash on it and it's my pride and joy, can we refer to it as 'the not quite top of the range air con'? ;)

I'd also discount a Subaru, simply because I've never been a fan of asian cars. I just don't find them nice places to me. Sorry, but that's just me.

I will never understand BMW and standard fit kit. They seem to remove things between generations for no apparent reason only to re-add them again.

E36 had dual zone climate as an option then the E46 never did.
E39 had dual zone as standard, then the E60 it was optional, then back again for the LCI
E39 facelift/E46 facelift Coupe had LED rear lights lights, removed for E60/E90, then back again for the facelift

Also, the better spec 1 and 3 series still have dual zone climate control and have done since they were launched (digital too, better than the dials in the E60 IMO!). Very very odd!
