So after having my 350Z for a few months, I have decided that alhtough it is a lovely car, its not the most practical one to use for day to day driving. So I've made the painful decision that I am going to have to get rid of it. Not something I really want to do, but something I have to do instead.

So I've gone ahead and ordered one of these...
a3-cab.jpg

A3 Cabriolet S-Line 2.0 TDI in white with the S tronic gear box. Hopefully should be getting it some time in June.

I know in terms of performance, its a massive step down. But it should still be a fun car to drive around as well a good quality car.

that looks very nice from the side profile! not seen it before (that i can remember) :]

How can a Small A3 cab be more practical than a 350Z which probably has a bigger boot?

Longer boot, yes. bigger boot, no.

The 350Z boot is so shallow that you can't even stand a coke bottle on its end without it hitting the roof.

Plus the fact that you can legally put 4 people in it :)

If you got 4 people in a 350z illegally I'd be impressed :D

If you don't mind me asking did you P/X your Z or have you sold it privately? Only reason I ask is that I've seen Z prices falling recently (the budget 'fear' - sell sell sell).

after a quick flange on parkers, these are 138 standard, so a remap will take it closer to the 190 region? quite impressive

you can get the 2.0tdi with 140 or 170, as this has the s-tronic box it must be the 170bhp.

The 170bhp should see around 210-220bhp with a stage 1 remap, and 280-290lb/ft of torque :D

I can't think of a car more pointless than a 4 cylinder diesel cabriolet. I mean seriously, what? You'll lower the roof, cruise the streets on a summer day and it'll sound like you are navigating a canal boat
