New Car Time

I can't think of a car more pointless than a 4 cylinder diesel cabriolet. I mean seriously, what? You'll lower the roof, cruise the streets on a summer day and it'll sound like you are navigating a canal boat

I have always dreamed of a convertible tractor and they just filled that market :D

it was modelled on a tried and tested design

Not sure why everybody is going for white cars nowadays but I think they look awful.

Also, a diesel cabrio? :|

The mix of diesel and cabrio is bad but I seriously don't like the looks, Am I the only on that thinks it looks wrong at the back! Looks like a door wedge.

Whoa.

I just speced one of these up - came to £25k for a 2.0 TDI 140. Yes, 140bhp - the 170 isnt even out yet.

£25k for a clatterly diesel cabrio? You are clearly not skint so what was wrong with the quiet, more suited 2.0TFSI?

it says on the audi site only the 170 comes with the s-tronic box, must have pre-ordered this one.

white and red are the new black and silver apparently, personally I love VW's and Audi's in white

hmm i just went in to another section of the site which says the 140 can have the s-tronic... got to love consistency

Is the 2.0TFSI available on that - I only ask as I want curious about the price of the new A4 Avant and using Audi's configurator the only turbo petrols were the 1.8T (160).

Having said that I can't see the point myself of a diesel cab unless it's some mad sounding V10.

Quite bored of the masses of silver or black cars recently. Not so sure on red, but white is a nice change.

i like black but people have to keep it spotless and know how to wash their cars (i.e. not create swirls) or they just look ****.

used to have a red car and it waxed up nicely, could get a really deep glossy finish. Last car was silver which I found really boring - especially when I'd spend like 3 days detailing it then see a waxed *insert any other colour* car next to it and think how I wished my car was *insert any other colour*. Went down the sealant route for extreme reflections and flake pop with my silver one but I prefer a deep glossy shine any day
