OH NO! In the last 6 months I've posted a whole 0 'look at this collection of BMWs' thread and a whole 1 'Look at these pretty wheels' thread (Which contained Nissans, VW's and Audi's as well).

Nice try. Tip for next time: Use facts. Why do people on this forum keep pretending that every post is about BMW's? It's really tedious.

Seeing cars which members of this forum buy is interesting. It's good when someone gets a new car and wants to share it with us. Seeing cars which are owned by whoever a member of this forums sister is currently seeing is perhaps less relevant. We dont know the guy, so it's simply a generic 'Look at this poorly taken camera phone picture of a Cayman' thread. We can't even congratulate the owner on the car or ask questions about what he likes about it, why he chose it etc etc because... he doesnt post here.

So whats the point in the thread?

Poor mans Zonda the 911.

Wonder if anyone has done an engine swap from a 911 yet, see how good the car actually is.

A Cayman with a GT3 lump in it came 3rd or 4th in the Nurburgring 24 Hours VLN race last year. I think its safe to say if they made a GT3 engined and lightened Cayman RS it would be utterly breathtaking.

Sigh, whatever. I'd lay money on this being a 10 page 'we dont give a ****' flame fest had somebody like me posted it though :p

Not saying that you do it all the time but if you are going to pull someone up you have to be right.

I remember a "This is a nice car" thread by you about an Alpina M5 (I think) in the last 6 months! ;)

Oh yea you are right, that supercharged M5.

Ok then 1 thread in the last 6 months :p

What do you expect?

Admit it, you love every minute of it.

Well it was only a quick ride, as i said, just down my road and back pretty much.

First thing i noticed was the feel of quality when sitting inside, the seats were comfy and supportive and the driving position was great, it felt very natural.

When i drove it at low speeds the engine was not too intrusive yet still gave a nice sound. When i put my foot down though whilst it was quick it didn't feel THAT quick even though it's quicker than most things i have driven before. I don't know whether this is down to it being quite refined but it didn't feel i was going as fast as i was. The ride was firm but not overly harsh, it felt like you were connected to the road whereas some cars i've driven don't give you that feel.

Unfortunately the one thing that really puts a grin on my face when it comes to driving is cornering which is what i didn't really get to do. But from my brief drive it was lovely and easy just to drive at low speeds but it was there wheen needed. Everything felt natural and i was left wanting more after my teasing of the small drive.

Probably the best handling road car out there at the moment. Stick an LSD on it and a GT3 engine in the back of it and you have the best sports car ever built if you ask me.

Yeah i know they are a great handling car which left me disappointed that i couldn't test it's potential. After driving it it has left me wanting something similar (on a smaller budget of course!) :p
