New Case, for £60 not inc VAT

Depends what you look for in a case, cooling, silence, aesthetics, build quality, etc. If all of these are important, then consider the lian "li PC 7+", probably the best bet for you. Or theres something from the thermaltake range, but the build quality, so I'm told, is not as good as the lian li, or maybe even something from the gigabyte range of alloy cases, but I know nothing about these so it'd be better to wait for more replies on these.
For me its Lian li or if you can stretch to it, an Akasa eclipse 62, way over your budget but, by the cringe, probably one of the best cases ever made.

Thermaltake cases are nice, but i would have to agree with the build quality issues, firstly the door on the soprano range is really carp tbh, i managed to break it off by accidently going down on it with my chair so thats a bit :/.
PC7 is a very nice looking case, but its down to personal preferance rly.

yeah definately pc-7. An eclipse would be worth the extra it was was for the plastic front, brilliant case thats shamefully let down by the front :(

There are some plus sides of the front being plastic. It can take some serious abuse ;)

You saying it can take more abuse than a v1000? ;)

Oh and for that money there is no competition. PC7+II.

Or you could look at the Akasa Zen, cracking case for the money although inferior to the PC7+ it is not £30 inferior.

PC7+ is the best case for that budget without a doubt, nothing else even worth considering as honestly the PC7+ trounces any competition up to £100.

You don't half go on about the Eclipse a lot. :p

It is way over priced for this, recommending it in a £30 case thread...

Each case has its market, the Eclipse is not perfect for everything and it certainly is in a couple of price brackets above the just as good PC7+.

PC7+ in this scenario, just due to the pricing. Internally the PC7+ gives the Eclipse a run for its money and is built better with almost as good cooling. Not bad for the money in my opinion! Certainly cools better than my S80b with a standard rig!

A 250mm fan does not mean it will cool well.

Most Lian Li cases do not look that great, the main selling point on them is the build quality.

It's got a huge 25cm fan on the side and looks like a lian li for £40 cant be bad.

I suppose it kind of looks like a v600, I don't think you would mistake one for the other though. Even less so if you actually used them as the build quality wouldn't come close.

I only paid £52 (iirc) for my Lian Li so it doesn't seem that cheap to me.

It would quadruple the amount of noise my computer makes though if I did that (before properly silencing it), and my computer already runs nice and cool.

Ok.

I put a house fan next to my S80b and the temperatures increase. :)

A case configured to cool correctly will INCREASE temperatures when the side panel is off. Most Eclipse owners will tell you this, you lose any form of airflow through the case so the components don't get the consistent flow of air over them that they need.

Taking the side panel of your computer and sticking a fan onto it is a amateur trick being 100% honest and there is absolutely no need for it, no pressure with the airflow either and dusty as hell.
