New Case, for £60 not inc VAT

just out of interest why does the eclipse 62 cool better than say a pc-7? both seem to use a similar design in terms of cooling and both have hdd's before the intake fan

The Eclipse is slightly less restrictive (intake and HD bays) and is larger so you're less likely to have cables blocking the path etc.

Spot on basically, also don't ask me how but you can generally put a more powerful intake fan on the Eclipse than in the PC7+ before it becomes audible.

Every decent case needs to be modded for water cooling.

The best case for watercooling that is easily available; the Lian Li G70, requires modding to fit any internal rad.

It is just how watercooling works, only really 'joke' systems do not need mods to fit and these usually offer sub standard performance compared to a custom kit.

My Reserator 1+ is a prime example of this, superb for what I wanted (CPU cooler which regardless of case temperature can cool, isolated cooling system) yet it would struggle with something a 120.3 Thermochill rad could do in its sleep.

Horses for courses, but you do have to mod most cases to fit water cooling, this is usually the case when the air cooling is very good.

You would be surprised what having your cables organised; did not say tidy, can do for your temperatures. That IDE ribbon cable flat on the hard drive sitting in between the graphics card and front intake really can make more difference than changing the fans and cooler.

Tuck them away or get them out of where airflow is needed and its the starting point of a cool and quiet computer.

so a pc-7 with the hdd cage removed would technically be better as nothing would be blocking the air flow?

Yes for graphics and CPU however the hard drives then lack cooling.

Just all in all it is why the Eclipse is the superior cooling case.
