New computer build.

Hey guys,

So since having the side panel on for the first time. I thought I would make note of the temps again.

So this if after a few hours, just general browsing etc:

Do they seem hot?

Cheers :)

Back to this old problem that I spoke about in the previous few posts.

I have decided that my computer is ridiculously loud. So I need to change some settings or else the computer just runs all fans constantly at 100%.

This is the current BIOS setup:

And this is the current temps/speeds:

Looking at this other thread again:

I am definitely able to change some settings. The only problem is I do not know what I should be setting CPU max temp to and things like this.

When in the BIOS and changing various settings I get some more settings, such as these:

So what would you guys say are the best settings to have for all of the options at the top?

Thanks, sorry about all the pics :)

I just don't want any damage to my CPU to occur. So if I set the CPU fan to 25% and the smart target to 60 degrees.

What about the system fans? Will this all be safe?

Thanks :)

Thanks for the respones. Well when I run prime95 a few months back, when I had completed the build I posted the results in this thread. This was with having the side panel off though because I hadn't done the cable management.

The temps are below, sorry its small hopefully you can read them.

Thanks :)

To be honest I can't remember it was a while ago! The fans were all at 100% as well, dunno if that is normal or not?

What would you say is a decent amount of time to run prime?

Maybe I could try running again? Now that I have the side panel on and I could make the necessary changes to the fans and smart target first? To see how it performs.

Thanks :)

Ok so I have run prime for about half an hour. I have changed the smart target to 60 degrees and the minimum fan speed to 25%. The 2 system fans I changed to 50%. You can see this below:

Here are the temps with the above settings after running prime for half an hour. Can I change any of the settings still?

Thanks :)

Thanks for the response. Yes it's a lot quieter now!

Can I lower the fan speeds anymore? Or even the smart target? Because the whole time the CPU fan just stayed at 25% because it never reached 60 degrees. Or is this fine?

Also I don't really understand what the best fan speed for the system would be?

Thanks again :)

Thanks for the response. So I might try lowering the smart target, but is 25% minimum speed about right for the CPU fan or is that too high?

One other thing is once I set the system fan speed, why do they not auto adjust?

Thanks!
