New computer build.

Hey guys,

So since having the side panel on for the first time. I thought I would make note of the temps again.

So this if after a few hours, just general browsing etc:

Do they seem hot?

Cheers :)

Hmm, the system should set the fan speed for the CPU fan at least depending on the temperature, based on those temps CPU fan should be much slower. Maybe check the BIOS and see if there are any fans settings

Hmm, I'm not sure on that sorry. So do you think it is that the fans are not at 100% but are showing as that?

Is it really noisy or OK as it is? You can probably change "SYS FAN1/2 CONTROL" to 50% or something if you want it quieter.

Back to this old problem that I spoke about in the previous few posts.

I have decided that my computer is ridiculously loud. So I need to change some settings or else the computer just runs all fans constantly at 100%.

This is the current BIOS setup:

And this is the current temps/speeds:

Looking at this other thread again:

I am definitely able to change some settings. The only problem is I do not know what I should be setting CPU max temp to and things like this.

When in the BIOS and changing various settings I get some more settings, such as these:

So what would you guys say are the best settings to have for all of the options at the top?

Thanks, sorry about all the pics :)

I just don't want any damage to my CPU to occur. So if I set the CPU fan to 25% and the smart target to 60 degrees.

What about the system fans? Will this all be safe?

Thanks :)

Sys fans set to what you like, if you want a quiet system set them as low as you can with them still running.

Just everytime you change something, check temperatures under load of your CPU using coretemp and prime95 (to 'stress test') and this will make sure its all save. You want to aim for <70 if you can.

Thanks for the respones. Well when I run prime95 a few months back, when I had completed the build I posted the results in this thread. This was with having the side panel off though because I hadn't done the cable management.

The temps are below, sorry its small hopefully you can read them.

Thanks :)

Those temps are very low!! (sure you ran it for a decent amount of time?) you have nothing to worry about.

You can set the target temps higher if it reduces fan noise if you want.

To be honest I can't remember it was a while ago! The fans were all at 100% as well, dunno if that is normal or not?

What would you say is a decent amount of time to run prime?

Maybe I could try running again? Now that I have the side panel on and I could make the necessary changes to the fans and smart target first? To see how it performs.

Thanks :)
