Wow, these prices are almost identical to the prices of other major competitors.

What is this El Shaddai game like? I haven't really heard much about it.

Heard its good, abit like DMC and Bayonetta. There is a demo on PSN and XBL which I've downloaded but haven't had the time to try yet.

rolleyes all you want, wont exactly help people pay for the products YOU have in stock where any sensible person can find it cheaper pretty much anywhere else. As EVERYONE in this thread has commented on so far.

its not me with my job on the line is it? so immature - makes OCUK look completely out of touch.

I suggest who ever orders this stock to either look at another supplier, or evaluate the margin OCUK has on products like this so that at the very least they match other retailers. Not much point in attempting to have a HPM when a product doesn't sell at the presented cost.

Woah. Bro you are mad.

Not really, he's making a fair point. Anyone can look around and get cheaper deals elsewhere.

ive said this before and tbh i think ocuk dont even care, they only hold console stuff to stop us from talking about competitors

the proof is in how much stock they hold

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=974&catid=1585

no more than 5 in stock, most at 1 piece, several out of stock

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=974&catid=1587

lol at those stock levels

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=974&catid=1886

and those

found cheaper prices in the first or second place i looked for every single game listed

OcUK is not known for its games, so your going to have to sell them a good amount cheaper than the major competitors to make any sales and get people to notice your console games area

Have to agree with iamtheoneneo. We've all mentioned this in the threads before about competitors and everyone agrees that OcUK need to try harder or just stop stocking games.

This isn't meant as a dig but just some criticism.

to be fair its £2.10 cheaper in the first site that sprang to mind.

having said that i always buy my PC stuff from OcUK and would not go elsewhere, however for console stuff its just not even considered.

sorry OcUK.....

The problem with OcUK trying to sell games is a catch 22, they don't (and probably never will) sell them enough volume to get the best discounts from the suppliers like the competition do so they don't sell as well and therefore the circle continues.

I have to agree a bit with the theory they only sell them to lower the amount of competitors we're allowed to talk about, ever since they started selling consoles/games its never looked like enough effort was put into it.

As for the Don/Staff member that started the thread, rolling your eyes at potential customers is probably not a wise idea, especially when the customer had a valid point.

They don't need to give a low price point they are most likely seeing it as a tie on. If you are buying a £1000 PC you may see a game and get it as an impulse buy even if it is a fiver more expensive. Sell a hundred at 5p profit or 1 at £5.00. I know which I'd rather organise.

lol most games will sell for at least a clear £10 profit when brand new maybe even more from competitors.

remember when supermarkets were selling fifa 10 for £25 when online stores used to sell it at £30-£35 and console stores at £40.

asda was most likely making zero profit on those and that was a launch game, they were hoping people would buy other stuff when they came into the store, then they caught on that nobody buys anything else and pushed the price back up for fifa 11.

i reckon on launch games cost £20-£25 to the retailer but COD costs £30 as they know it will sell regardless.
