Build quality has nothing compared to Europein cars tbh :o
They dont make them anymore anyway

one of the guys I work with picked up a brand new one the week before last? 2 weeks waiting time.

Build quality is better than the last few Mercs I've been in and It goes faster than a fast thing from my few trips in it tbh with lots of sideways fun

I didn't know they had stopped making them and the Vauxhall website doesnt dsay that??? http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vx/carsan...arPage&vehicleType=C&scope=S&brandName=monaro

but hey I'm open to corrections.

and you'll save £20K with the basic 5.7L and £13K with the VXR 6.0L variant

They arnt made by vauxhall, they just rebadged them.
They are actually Holden's made in Australia.
They are an Icon down here and they have stopped making them to keep them more limited and to keep them an Icon.
You might as well get a commodore(u have a different name for them i think). They use the same engine and just about look the same, they just arnt as wide and have 4 doors :o
I would probably be burnt at the stake for saying stuff like that down here about them :o
Im not a holden fan at all.
They also cost far more then they are worth up in the UK IIRC.

If the CLK is too common then get the rarer and more special CL55 AMG
Looks identical to the previous Merc posted.

Imported Selene Mustang like gibbo or Noble for me thanks. Or more realistically a Westield and Impreza combination if I had 50K to spend on cars.

£50K should get a three year old one.

W1N \o/ :D

That merc looks wrong, too big to be a coupe, you can tell *** design hasn't really been thought about, as though they just chopped a couple of doors off.

Here is one you should consider, SL500

Those SL500's look nice actually.

I would also personally consider a tricked up Skyline... though cant imagine that suggestion being much use in this thread.

Nice but it has a OTR price of 49K before you put a single option on it

Neil.

Yes but looking at the RS4 options list the only thing I would have is the satnav which brings the OTR price to 52K and isn't exactly the most necessary thing.

The only other real cost options I would have considered if I had an extra few hundred quid would be the heated seats and autodipping rear mirror at £200 a pop. But really is the budget dead on £50K or around £50K?

And whats the spec list on a 6? To match spec on the RS4 I couldn't get even the lowest performing model (630i) much under that.

To even compete with the RS4 performance wise you'd have to go for at least the 650i at £53K before options.
