Hello,
My computer is now getting a bit old, im running a q6600 oc to 3.2ghz on a DFI x48 mobo with 4 gb of ram.
I've been running this for about 3 years so Im hapy with the service.
My GFX card died, so I've ordered a new GTX 480 and am now thinking in a month or two that im going to upgrade the system to get as much out of the card as possible.
Im really out of the loop on current CPU's etc so looking for some advice.
I've set a budget of around £500 for CPU, mobo, RAM and CPU cooler (unless I can find a bracket for my current noctua).
Im not set on any makes would be happy with AMD or Intel, any money saved from the £500 will go towards a Solid State HD.
I keep reading that you need about 4ghz to make use of the 480, is this true?
Do you think my q6600 would be upto the job?
Cheers
