New Discovery

Who thinks up these colours? I don't care what anyone says, that's brown. People buy brown cars?

Seems to be the "in" colour at the moment

Someone at work got a Jazz a couple of years ago, and they were even available in multiple shades of brown!

From a quick google, I think they were probably the following, with exciting names such as "Golden Brown Metallic", "Ionised Bronze Metallic" and "Beige Metallic"

Who's daft idea was it to put the numberplate in an offset position like that? It totally ruins what could otherwise have been quite a decent looking rear end!

Discovery 4 looks lovely

Steady now. :D

The 4 does look better than this though IMO.

There's nothing decent looking about that rear end - Jesus! Get yourself to Specsavers :p

What has the lord's prescription got to do with anything? :p

I quite like the metallic brown to be honest. Think the brown metallic Mini colour is nice too... :o

You take my point though right? There's a rugged utilitarian look about the Discovery 4. The 5 seems to have taken on the current JLR 'house style' with a Kardashian arse :(

A rushed/poor edit to show what I mean.

Yeah I agree.

There's no room for one anyway unless its a pram wheel. It would either cover the numberplate or the tail light.

But they have half arsed it!

You could actually buy kits to mount spare wheels on the back in that space, and fit an endurance fuel tank where the wheel sits natively, but the new design, while it incorporates the 'DNA', serves no such purpose.

Its one step away from not bothering at all, and it would have looked better if they hadn't! :p

I took one of the brand new Range Rovers out for a test drive a few weeks back. It had everything on it options wise, I think the sticker prices was an astonishing 130K or similar but the toys and interior were epic, a real thing of beauty.....but what an awful thing to drive and why people would have one of these over something saloon like when they never go near rough stuff or need the ground clearance is beyond me. Not for me I guess, just thought good god no, have it back.

Was that the full fat Range Rover? If so I kind of agree. They drive beautifully if you want to cruise around, but don't like being pushed. That's why I sold mine after a couple of months and bought the Sport. The new one really is a much better drive, with great handling and next to no body roll (not just the SVR, but the normal one too)

had the dealer ringing me a few weeks ago wanting to know if i was interested in doing a swop. Got the D4 currently. great vehicle. Will have to have a look.

Apparently its even bigger than the current D4!

It's lower and much better aero but it is 140 mm longer.
