That is absolutely stunning. one of the nicest looking cars ive seen recently by far.

Tom.

Too bad its an American car :o
Would handle like a truck from the early 1900s tbh.

Does anyone know how fast it can get from 0-60mph?
And how fast would the veyron go if it wasnt limited?

Damn right I would. For a start the Viper is a fraction of the price, and secondly its not ugly.

2nded. The viper is georgous like a fine woman. I shan't ellaborate on the Veyron.

viper venom Performance:
# 0-60 mph: 2.9 sec.
# 0-100 mph: 5.9 sec.
# 0-150 mph: 10.9 sec.
# 0-200 mph: 19.9 sec.
# Top Speed: 255 mph

the veyron is
0-60: 2.8
0-190: 16.5

i imagine that once you get towards the top end the veyron will wipe the floor with the viper handling-wise, however lower down, at realistic speeds i dont think it will outperform it that much, the new vipers handle so much better than the original ones and this one has had lots of handling tweaks as well as the performance mods

iirc if it wasnt limited.. the Veyron could get to 272Mph.

the veyron has faster acceleration from 0-200 and at top speeds will out perform it in terms of handling etc. but whos even going to be driving at those speeds? :p and whos going to be testing out there handling at 250Mph? but i supose if you had a car that good.. youd want to..

bah i think they both own :p

why did they limit the veyron, surely they'd want it to actually hit top speed or would it take off or something?
probally something like that, i remember something about the tyres.. like they if they could actually work at that speed then handling would have been sacrificed.. which is stupid because you dont care about handling at that speed.. because youd be on a straight.. i think?

Aren't vipers supposed to be crap? pretty much every review I have seen of one totaly trashes it, unless of course it was by an American. The looks are pretty tragic, then again the veyron is a bit odd.

That Viper looks drop dead gorgeous. I'd rather have one of those than a Veyron (not that I could afford either :p) Pity it can only be used on motorways and roman roads though :(

So you missed the Top Gear magazine review of the original RT/10, the Top Gear magazine review of the SRT/10, and the Road and Track review of the GTS ACR (that was written by a Brit) then? Plus the Top Gear TV review of it that said "Yeah, it's a bad car, but we like it", and a load of other reviews that I could probably dig out if I could be bothered.

I really like the Viper, mostly because of it's American-ness - there's nothing exotic or complicated about it at all. If I ever get the chance to own one I will.

I can remember the first Vipers were really bog-standard... so i'm guessing this new one has been completely modded with computers and the like? Even better :p

More than likely. It's a bit like the Stealth fighter. It is physically impossible for that aircraft to fly, yet it does... because of the computers that are constantly making corrections.

It's better to build a stable car from the start. Then add computers that improve its overall performance, not just bring it up to an acceptable standard.
