New Dryer

Im currently thinking about going down this route...

Had a couple of Beko products, a fridge and a freezer and never had issue with them. Hopefully this will do the job.

The black version is being delivered to my house today. I have a Beko washing machine that has been excellent so had no hesitation ordering this when I finally made room for one.

Yes from ao.com. I wanted the white at £369 but that went out of stock the day before I ordered so I got the black at £389 minus the £20 first ao order discount. I have never used Quidco but really should do.

Just doing a wash now so I can test it out.

I am impressed, less than an hour and it's done.

It's not too noisy, it's under my stairs opposite the living room door and with the door closed I can barely hear it and with the TV on I can't hear it, and even though it started at 3 hours it jumped down to 15 mins after about 30 mins.

48mins, plus 2 seconds, from start to finish for 2 bath towels. About 500ml of water in the tray.

I should have bought one years ago.

I want to get a tumble dryer but have heard heat pumps will not work in a unheated garage. Is this true?
Ah, rubbish. Thats where mine is going, and there are a couple of resources that are saying no...

and

Don't locate a dryer with a heat pump in a garage or outbuilding as it needs to operate within a minimum ambient temperature range

also, I noticed this...

Vented machines are cheaper than condenser models and normally use less energy, but you the vent or hose limits the location of the machine in your home

Vented it is then if it is going in the garage, and even more so if they use less energy.

My heat pump works in the garage just last night as well and at 4c. Vented only uses less energy than a normal condenser, heat pump still uses less than vented.

Cheers. I've ordered the Beko one for delivery tomorrow as it is rather cheap, will see how I get on anyway. Apparently it is rated for temperatures above 5*c which being down south is rarely below that outside. The temperature around the unit might be a little higher too? Maybe?
