According to FUD there is a dual Nvidia 5X0 card coming this year so you might want to hold off buying that GTX580 next week.

I'm inclinded to think this will NOT be 2 X 580's though as:

Nvidia might be releasing GTX560 this year

They also mention the GTX580 will be a mere 15-20% faster than the GTX480:

Is it just me or does that not sound a lot?

I know some people have issue with Fudzilla but I really just don't care. Comments about the source will be ignored as we ALL already know about these type of sites. I'm just sharing the love! ;)

You can take percentages with a pinch of salt as it can vary dramatically from game to game, res ect. My 480 is on par with a 5970 in some tiles, only 5% slower in some and up to 25% slower in others.

I would be very surprised if a dual GPU card was using the GF110 GPU, I expect it to use the GTX560 GPU, which looks as if it is the GTX475 people were expecting (GF104 with all the SMs enabled.)

I'll be interested to see if a pair of GTX560s are faster than a pair of GTX470s. (I suspect not, but they might be a lot more power/heat/overclock friendly).

Good old Fuad is going to spin himself into a coma if he keeps going like this...

That brings me to a point..."when you got nothing....just spin...spin...spin"

From memory, Fud also posted incessantly and inaccurately about the release date for Fermi. I foolishly trusted it at the time, delayed buying my 5870 to wait for a comparison before finally giving up. I'd suggest waiting for a more reliable source before basing any decisions on "information" Fud releases...

Looks like with both at stock 5970 is about 18% faster than 480 across a range of current titles, or to put it another way it comprehensively beats it assuming you are going on tech powerups benchmark results.

It's between 13%-21% faster at 1680 res and above, the results at 1024 and 1280 are obviously irrelevant for cards like these and probably show limits other than GPU horsepower being hit.

That and the fact them results are from March, beta drivers ect.

So going by your logic if Hardocp give an nvidia card a good review theyre then biased for nvidia. Yet strangely enough you were very eager to link to hardocp when they gave nvidia surround a good review

You really need to rethink your pick and choose method of what reviews\sites you "trust" as it always revolves around what card you currently have in your system, and this has been proven numerous times...and is starting to get incredibly boring.
