New Facebook chat

On MSN I group them.
"IRL"
"Internet friends"
"Randoms"
On Facebook I don't bother.
I grouped my friends as I added them 
Mine are grouped into friends from Uni, friends from home, friends from my year abroad and other people. Being able to appear online to particular groups is a bit pointless though. Can't think of any situation where I'd like to collectively block people like that. It needs a whitelist of people who can chat to you. Would also be helpful if it delivered a whole conversation instead of half of it!

Go to options at the top of the chat list and click "Show names only", make sure this isn't ticked.
What's the problem you lot are having?
It asked me what groups I wanted shown in the chat. The groups I have are:
Losers
Randoms
Real Friends
Tinternet
So naturally I only want to speak to Real Friends and tinternet groups. So I selected them. Now I only see them in the chat. I click their name and I can chat... what was so confusing to you guys? You're on a tech forum. I would expect better from you geeks.
EDIT: Also you can go offline for individual groups. Not even Windows Live has this feature.

Best place probably for it - but when clicking on either the thumbs up or thumbs down buttons by their adverts, does anybody else get an equally irritating error message?

I dont like it. Was easier before.. just to click "appear offline"
But that sums up facebook fully it's rubbish.
Has to got to the point that people have no life or are so lazy they think facebook is cool to be on all day

'Remove' all the other lists and it just groups all your friends together.
