Some layout suggestions for at least the desktop...

A few things are annoying in the sense that you click a forum category from the forum index and these links are on the left but a few things once inside a thread are all the way over to the right.
  • Move search box from the top right to the left of the breadcrumb / quick nav bar.
  • Move 'Post New Thread' button and 'Watch Thread' link to the left of the page navigation links. Do same for the page links at the bottom of the page.
  • Move username link, 'Inbox' and 'Alerts' to the left and position next to the 'Members' tab.

But what setting? It was working fine before, I then cleared my browser cache and then it was suddenly not. I changed NO settings whatsoever.

I couldn't log in this morning if I just typed forums.overclockers.co.uk into the address bar, it just kept taking me back to the forum list when I hit sign in. I had to add https:// before it would let me log in.

Might be worth a try.

I posted in this thread yesterday. When I search though, I can't see my post any more. Is that an issue with the search or has it been deleted?

Edit: Oh I see now. I think the wording is wrong. There are tick boxes for "search in this thread" and "search in this forum". I think they are actually searching as "search in this page" and "search in this thread" respectively.

How do you differentiate between read and unread threads now?

Do you mean in your "news feed"? I thought this for a while... it seems following the refresh everything for me was set to "unread"... there's a button in the very top left which marks the entire forum as read... after clicking that it behaves like I remember the UserCP view did before (i.e. only threads I'm watching that have new posts show up)

A couple of style points ....
- Going into a forum, GD for example there is quite a bit of dead space at the top of the thread list due to the placement of the new thread button. I wonder if would be better to lose the watch forum link (replace that with a pair of glasses icon placed after the forum name) and move the Pages links from the left to the right (and do the same its positioning at the bottom as well). Then move the post new thread button to the same line as the pages list but on the left. This would then allow or dead vertical space to be lost.
- styling of new thread button doesn't seem to match anything else
- likewise the styling of the "Messages have been posted since ..." box

Nope I don't work for OcUK. :)

I volunteer. It's subtle, but it is different.

You volunteer to carry out work for OcUK, i.e. working for OcUK on a voluntary basis.

You're like a volunteer sheriff, enforcing the OcUK law, representing OcUK, following instruction given by OcUK, an OcUK representative on the forums, I am addressing a representative of OcUK.

The only subtle difference is that you don't get paid in monetary terms.

Not that it makes a difference to me, I'm just pointing it out. :)
