New G5 mouse coming to OC???

why so? I was concidering getting one, not purely for gaming though, but i do game, and i do have a short temper.

And thats exactly why i won't be buying this mouse, look at the close up photos. I reckon in less than a month you will have little flakes of black rubber all over your hands/desk.
 
As much as I love my G5, and all my logitech mice, the left/right rocker on the scrollwheel on the G5 really annoys me - makes it really hard to middle-click - and it looks like they've left it on this revised model.

All I want is a simple middle click button!
 
mmm if they did the new G5 with out the stupid paint job and blue lights it would be cool :) I need the 2nd button as im lazy when it comes to browseing :P
 
The G5 is a wonderful mouse.
I personally spent ages with the little box of weights and the cartridge balancing mine out so it feels perfect.
Now to take that perfectly weighted mouse and to add a second thumb button would be excellent.

I won't move to a wireless mouse - I know they are quicker than ever before but despite what people say there is a delay there, no matter how small or tiny it is.
Love wired, love the G5 - now I just want the G5 with that extra button.

Don't think that'll be happening anytime soon. Just spoke to them on the phone, and they said logitech wanted £30 extra for this mouse so they (ocUK) told them to - and I quote - 'get lost'. :p

Damn good mouse though. Oh well might have to pickup the DeathAdder instead seeing as I can get it almost £20 cheaper than what this mouse is going for.
 
Shame really, i would seriously consider paying it, cause my G5 is wearing on the back pad(had it a fair while now) and i need a replacement. The new one is simply stunning imo and is everything this mouse is and better.
 
Does the release of the new G5 imply a new G7 on the way? I'm considering buying one for my other computer anyway, but might hold off if there's the chance of an upgraded version :)
 
Logitech replaced my mediaplay mouse with a G5 Laser Mouse for free last Friday (but it was the old version with only 1 thumb button). It has a problem with the scroll wheel so I've contacted them again to see if they will send me the newest G5 version. :)
