I'm really bored, and would like some ideas for new games.

Got a lot if the survival games, but they're all a bit to early I'm in development.

The recent 4x games are well just poor.

The only two games I've loved recently have been
kerbal Space Program
And
Rimworld

Been browsing steam for a while and just can't see anything I fancy. But then again it's hard to find new games and especially small indie games like rimworld.
 
galactic civ 3 is out now.

phantom pain mgs is out tomorrow

the new xcom games are decent (but get them on the mobile tbh)
 
Got gc3 and it's poor. It needs a few DLCs to make it more complicated, it's even missing some basic features, that should have been in release.

New xcom games? The Bureau or is there something newer?

Not into mgs.
 
xcom enemy within, back to the classic style.

theres a pc version then a more cut down phone version (smaller maps etc) thats possibly the best game out on mobiles as its a proper full game.

true though gc3 could do with some ai improvements they are working on it though.

dying light is about the last game i played start to finish and actually enjoyed

ah right if you've already bought unknown is nearly the same but with genetic and cybernetic mods, and the exalt stuff (covert ops, fighting human enemies) but its the same plot line etc.

its more a "oh heres the game we intended to make originally before we had to cut stuff to make the deadline".
 
It's certainly top of the list so far though. Will take a look at some youtube vids and see how big an improvement it is.
 
its great opn the phone (shame theres no cross plat form save support) for when you;'re out as its a good time filelr but its much better on the pc in terms of levels etc.

im in a simmilar boat tbh mate everything seems boring or just a rehash of something else, reinstalling bioshock since i never really played it mroe than an hour 7 years ago lol
 
Yeah got bored of most if the big releases.
I think there's a load if good indie games, but it's finding them that is hard. Only found rimworld through watching some youtubers do KSP.
 
one thing that's annoying me lately is the glut of "early release" games i just cba wading through all the bugs and glitches and most seem to stay as early realease/alpha for years.


i do think the xcom game engine/design could be set u pto make an epic stargate game.

i really fancy a sort of scavenge and build game.


i miss regular coop games too now day :(
 
Oh man, that would be amazing. Utilized xcom battle engine, with a proper full scavenge and base build 2nd engine.

Yeah early access is both great and a curse.
It's allowing far more breadth of games to be made, due to easy funding. But it's hard to tell which ones are being made by decent people.

And wtf, enemy unknown is 16.4gb on it's own. Might not be playing today.

oh yeah i forgot theyre insane sizes for no apprent reason, think they just decided that compressing the textures for the download was too much trouble or soemthing lol
 
I take it you like strategy/turn based games ? have you tried frozen synapse ?

Its very much a thinking mans game a bit like chess how you have to really think ahead
 
I do indeed. And I haven't, i'll take a look.
Really like build, research expand strategy type games.
So 4x space games, civ, settlers, rimmworld all that sort of thing and off course xcom.
 
ever played home world or home world 2 both brilliant games in there time and I believe they have been remastered aswell :)

yeah there doesnt seem to be a good build/research game atm.

tempted to try minecraft again with some tech mods but found MC is only fun multiplayer but most servers are gash.

Empyrion sounds good
