New game : The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners Ch.2 (Retribution). Release 1/12/22.

That 311mb looks like it might be on the money.

God awful, it genuinely looks like a 20 years old average PS2 game. There's no way they can release this to the PC market, no wonder they kept it under a shroud until release.
just checked the store page it's 15.1GB. this standalone version looks about the same as S&S1 Q2 standalone graphics wise, i bet it's still got the core gameplay so is fun but nothing fancy to look at. the pcvr version looks the 1 to have and that's what i'm waiting for although i will buy the quest 2 version today if it's cross buy.

its not quite out yet, but remember, the rift version wont be out yet, so cross buy may not work
i.e. you may have to wait until the rift version comes out

i checked the meta store page for the game about 10 mins ago and it was listing a size for it, seems to have been removed now, strange. anyway it won't be 311MB. yeh i'm not buying it until it's crossbuy or pcvr version, standalone looks poor graphics wise although it'll be nice to have the option to play it standalone if i can't access my pc.

Edit: i get it now, i have to wait for the Rift version to be available for cross buy, so next feb hopefully. ah well.
Edit of the edit: i've just read some have bought S&S1 on Quest 2 standalone and then later had free access to the pcvr version, so maybe i can buy Quest 2 version have a play around then wait till pcvr version comes out.

I was going to say, the intro alone looks like it would be more than 311mb with all the models etc.

Enjoyed the first one on Quest but personally I’m gonna wait for the PSVR 2 release before playing the second part.

Would be interested to hear folks thoughts on the game though.

I tried it, it's more of the same basically. I struggle with 2 handed weapons like the axe, i try to kill zombies with it but the axe 9/10 just bounces off the zombies head or something, what am i doing wrong? Anyway I won't play through it too much, wanna wait for pcvr version.

A couple of snips from the developer in the Steam forum:

We are working on a PC-specific version that leverages the capabilities of GPUs with things like dynamic lighting, higher poly models, higher resolution textures etc. Our current target for this version is Feb 2023.

We love our PC players, and the decision to delay PC and PSVR2 was crucial to ensuring the level of quality and attention to platform capabilities you have come to expect from our games. Building a game for PC, and making sure it works on the diverse ecosystem of headsets and setups means more QA, and more attention to things like dynamic lighting, textures and higher poly models working across the massive 15-20h game experience of Chapter 2.

Can only be a good thing that they've broken the silence, it'll dispel discourse in the short term. Sounds positive, reassuring to hear that they're reworking the models and not just glossing over the hexagonal door handles with some dynamic lighting.

Hopefully it works out, it makes sense that they'd be aiming the game at being a premium product on the PSVR 2. As much as they say they love those PC players, I'm fairly sure it's the PSVR 2 that is driving the higher quality build.

PC Version is out now

Apparently the graphics on the ps5/psvr2 version is massively better than the pc version

Why is that

Apparently this has some performance issues on PC - setting shadows to medium fixes it.

Also the complete bundle discount doesn't work currently if you already own the first game.

Currently 25% off on steam probably gonna pick this up. Finally plucked up courage to play first one - really enjoying it
