The question: what the best size and speed laptop ssd i can get for about £100

If you're happy to go second hand, you can probably pick up around 500gb for your budget on classifieds. I saw 1tb go for £125 the other day.

But as above, those Samsungs are great :)

That link doesn't work string, if you shop around you can get a 500gb 850 EVO for £111 or just get a 250gb. Personally I wouldn't go anything but Samsung 5 year warranty and there own software is the best.

If you end up going 250gb might be worth going 860 EVO, it's the new Samsung one and probably cost about £10 more than the 850 EVO. You probably wouldn't see a difference in reality but more lifespan on it.

It's a good idea to look at the laptop specs first. According to which, that laptop can hold 2 x mSata SSDs (which can be raided) and 1 x HDD. So a regular Sata SSD may only fit by replacing the HDD. Vice versa, you may be able to keep the existing mSata SSD (128GB) and add another mSata SSD (250/500GB), along with the 1TB HDD. So make sure before you buy anything.
