New gaming PC crashing in games

RAM in the correct slots (shown in the manual as DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2) ? Are you using 2 different cables from the PSU to graphics card (not 2 connectors on the same cable) ?

Yes the graphics are two different cables.

I'm really upset now! I left windows idle in what I thought was stable and come back to pc and it's in the fing bios screen ! Waaaaaaaaah! What the hell is wrong with my poor new computer! It's not like any of these items easy to return at a time like this!

I did run memtest. Seemed fine except one line that read "memory locking failed". Could that be it and what the hell is it anyway?

Have you reset the BIOS to factory? I'd save the existing settings as a profile. My brothers new 3700x build did this and it was the XMP memory profile doing it. After he reset it, it was fine.

interesting. I could try that. My XMP profile is disabled. when I turned it on and saved and exited bios the whole pc turned off an don again (as opposed to just resetting).

I have just enabled it and booted windows. BF 5 V crash almost straight away when looking for a game.

I will try the factor reset.

Bloody system not even creating minidumps when crashing to at least try to pick n down the issue!
