Issue resolved.

DC5 VSS cog removed from the DC5 VSS and fitted to the EP3 VSS. in honesty, we could probably have fitted the DV5 VSS as a whole and still it would have worked.

my mechanic didnt want to take the risk and wanted to do the same as 8 speed suggested.

new VSS cog is in, clicking has gone, speedo is working.

very happy now :)

RESULT! \o/ so how much did it cost? the £80 or the £2 part :p

well, i had to get it fixed straight away. the risk of killing the new box was too big.

so i spent £50 on the replacement VSS and to be on the safe side, we put the cog [which would have been £2 onto my existing VSS]

so it cost a fair bit but will be ebaying the DC5 vss that i didnt need to hopefully reclaim some cash.

just glad its fixed tbh

Nicely done, glad its sorted! An lsd does make a pretty marked difference as to how it puts the power down...

Yes way more fun!

Rich took me out and whereas before it would just plough wide, now he can really play with the throttle to either have fun or to try and bring the nose back in line.

In a front wheel drive car a mechanical LSD is an absolute must I feel, makes a huge difference.

I've toyed with idea on 911, but most say it is not required due to that big lump and the only bonuses are more control/easier to drift and better traction out of corners in the wet, but at the same time the risk of a spin can be increased.

At nearly 1k for diff plus £400-£600 fitted, one I shall give a miss, but on a FWD car an absolute must for sure, just amplifies grin factor massively!

I couldn't be happier with it. Wish I had got it done sooner. Really liking the shorter 4th on the DC5 box also. Its so easy to stay in the power band now.

Handling is massively improved. Can't wait to get it on a track and see how it improves lap times :D

One issue, only one national layout left and it's full day on 4th august with bookatrack.

Good news Rich glad thats sorted, was cringing a bit listening to the vid, not a nice sound lol, glad its sorted and the improvements sound sweet, I always felt the front end of the EP3 would wash wide a bit too easily when the power was on!
