Build looks pretty solid, also 8gb will definitely be enough for gaming.

Again, you cant blame AMD for Nvidia's pricing, they are both big boys and do what they want. Their 680 is still extremely overpriced, and their 670 cost hardly anything to make and should cost less, thats not AMD's fault.

The 7970 was more expensive than the GTX680, you argued how good value the 7970 was, now the cheaper better performing is overpriced? Come on man, have some logic.

Not quite.

Don't think anyone will notice a difference between the two in the real world for daily stuff, except the Corsair has noticeably faster writes when copying files.

The 7970 is allot cheaper than the 680 now. On release Nvidia would most probably have done the same.

Yes the better performing card is overpriced in terms of quality, its got a £2 heatsink on it you wouldn't even find on a 5770 which completely baffles me for a card of £300+ .

No it's not.
It lacks voltage control too, so there goes the OC debate right out of the window.
Its only redeeming factor is that it's a brilliant cooler and feels and looks like a real high end card.
It's also an ironic card ; "Hey look at my awesome much improved power delivery system, Asus revised me so I wouldn't break, but I can't overvolt!"

If you're video encoding but for gaming, go with the i5.
