new hard drive showing in bios but not in windows.

So in my green dragon build z77 ud3h with 3750k and 8gb ram with win 7 pro. Just slotted in new WD 2TB Green Desktop Drive 3.5" SATA-III Hard Drive. It shows up in bios but not in windows. Plugged it in to sata 3 with sata 3 cable. How to fix that please? ta
 
It's all explained in the link given by Arek, but you just need to right-click on the bar for your new disk at the bottom of the Disk Management window, and choose the initialise disk option.

When this has been done, you right click on the same bar and choose format. You'll then be able to select a drive letter, and after that, the disk will appear in Windows Explorer.

Hi, when I right-click on the bar for my new disk at the bottom of the Disk Management window, there is no option to format or initialise. ?!? (confusioN)

Been a while since I built from scratch, but one solution I think, is to disconnect all drives bar the one that needs initialised. Put your Windows install CD in the CD drive and set the system to boot from CD. If I remember correctly, the start of the install will initialise and format the disk
