Hi
I've decided to buy a new hard to replace my old one and upgrade to windows 7 and I'm just wondering is it just a case of taking out the old HDD and putting in the new one, booting up the computer and putting the windows 7 disk in? Will I have to go into the bios or anything?

help appreciated

Win 7 will detect new drive and that is blank and start loading up install files.

If not select the bios boot option to select your boot drive option (F8 etc)

No - its simple, as long as it is a standard SATA drive. If it's an SSD you will need to make sure the BIOS is setto ACHI to get the best out of it.

No its not a SSD I'm getting just a normal 1tb HHD Drive,For drivers I have the motherboard cd,graphics card cd and a vga cd,will I need anything else?

Forget what's on the CDs - they're usually out of date the second they're created!

Get the current version of all the drivers you need from the various websites and put them on a USB stick. Don't forget the network card / audio driver too.
