Hi
I am looking to purchase a new HD and was thikning which one to get.
I occaisionally play games, but the PC is mainly used for general everyday stuff. With maybe some audio encoding at times.

Would like something around the 300GB mark. Not really intrested in RAID or raptors. Ideally I would like it to be reasonably quick and quiet.

Thanks

Takes ages sometimes to load the webpage for me, why did you not paste the hard drive brand/model itself rather than a link?

Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (0A33435)
Samsung SpinPoint T 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD321KJ)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3320620AS)
Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (WD3200AAKS)

They all around the £50-56 mark.

I would go for the WD AAKS, they are meant to be quick and reasonably quiet. I have all seagates myself but the .10 range is meant to be a gamble if you get a quiet one or a loud one. Although for an extra 12 quid you could buy the 500GB samsung which is on special this week.
