New HDD DOA?

Afternoon!

Bought a 1TB WD Blue HDD last week and went to install it this morning. I'd literally just taken it out of its sealed packet and plugged it in.
Upon boot up the new HDD began repeatedly clicking is not picked up in windows or in BIOS.
Have tried other SATA sockets and leads and leads from the PSU but no different.

Have linked to the audio (please excuse the background noise), you might have to turn up the volume a bit.

Look on the bright side, at least it died straight away rather than in a few months when it's full your valuable data.

If it's new, go to back to the retailer.

I had two DoA from OCUK years back (same order) and they replaced them immediately.
