I have just installed a new MOBO ASUS P8Z68-V, chip and ram. I kept my old GFX and HDD's, all was working fine on my old gigabyte board.
Now the main SSD drive is working fine and I have 2 Samsung HD 501 as storage drives. I am booting the system in AHCI and the SSD and one 501 is working fine but I cannot see the other, not in the BIOS or in W7 (x64). I have swapped all the connections and the same drive will not register. If I go back into BIOS and set it at IDE then it registers, in fact all 3 do but I think ACHI is better (yes/no?) so want to run in that.
Any advice gratefully accepted,
