New home builder issues with garage

Alcester's really nice, but as a town it tends to think it's basically a Stratford suburb in terms of 'snootery' and the house prices reflect that. Though to be fair it does have a decent grammar school.

We chose Studley as you get way more house for your money, there are loads of nice quiet residential streets, it's still Warwickshire and not Redditch, and it's only 4 miles from Alcester if we want to go there.

Alcester's a nicer place though, there's no denying that. Artisan food shops and specialist stores with a really nice high street, whereas every shop in Studley seems to be a takeaway or a bookie. Oh and the volume of traffic that is forced to go through Studley is just absolutely ridiculous!

I don't think I'll be getting any further freebies unless I'm not happy with the finish.

Apparently it doesn't cost much to redo, but the reality of it is that by the time it will need redoing I will have probably had the centre pillar removed, the front of it extended about 1m and a door added, so the bricks would need the extra coating :D

I wouldn't have minded the freebies, but as I said I've already budgeted about £10k for upgrades on things like kitchen, cabling, extra lighting, moving of sockets and radiators. So I guess I'll still be spending that money :( :D
