But think I will hold out until the Kingston's 960GB SSDNow UV400 is released, at hopefully a £30.00 cheaper price point,....
as for my need, not sure I need the extra performance of the HyperX® Savage SSD.

If it was to be a main (OS) drive, probably yes,... but as a flight sim installed scenery, etc storage drive, not sure the extra cost for better write speed can be justified.
 
Considering I'm in the market for 2 hard drives (a 2nd one for my PC and one to upgrade the PS4), these deals are tantalising, especially that 480GB one. My eyes are already on the HyperX Savage for the PC, the 240GB version is currently at a good price. And for the PS4 is where things can vary. A 480GB SSD to upgrade to wouldn't be so bad, but it would be nicer having more space.

If the 960GB version comes in at around less than £200, then I might consider it. If it takes till August to release... well the good news is I'll definitely be able to afford it by then... but I've been waiting a long while to upgrade the PS4 hard drive and want something sooner. So currently it's either a 1TB Hybrid or that juicy 480GB. Should speed up load times on the likes of Bloodborne.

At moment UV400 version will be similar cost to his if NAND pricing holds, regular price on this drive is well over £250, I convinced Kingston to give OcUK a nice deal for those who don't want to wait for UV400. :)

So UV400 could be cheaper but could just cost the same.
 
bought the 120gb for a budget build im putting together for my boss. great price compared to the £140 or so i paid for my 120gb ocz ssd a few years ago
 
Bought the 120GB model from OCUK yesterday. Only takes about 15-20 mins to install Win 7 & takes around 25 secs to boot from cold.

For £29.99 this is an amazing drive & as fast as much more expensive SSD's I own! Definitely going to buy a few more this is silly money for a very high quality product :D
 
You and me both, wanted to order the 120GB drive to have a dual boot system Windows 7 on to use with older games that don't play nice with Windows 10.

120 GB = £29.99 = 25p per GB
240 GB = £47.99 = 19p per GB
480 GB = £89.99 = 18.7p per GB
960 GB = £209.99 = 22p per GB

I'd buy 2 x 480GB models, works out the best value.
