** NEW KINGSTON UV400 SSD'S: GREAT PERFORMANCE & VALUE COMBINED!! **

Erm...... your advertising a price.... you'd get done for false advertising if a complaint was made

Erm, price was right at the time of advertising (over 2 months ago) so how do you expect anything is wrong?
The currency market has moved around just a tad in that time and the pound has tanked which I'm guessing is the reason for the substantial rise.

Exactly my point.

The pound weakening has effect the price by around 10% !

Unfortunately the other 20% and more is due to NAND and RAM prices going up in general, due to a fire in one of the factories supply is not so great now for remainder of the year on DRAM/NAND which has cause the prices to go up so dramatically. Then of course with pound crashing just made matters worse.

Can you tell me more about them getting "done"?

He has no idea. But clearly felt the need to 'point out' something he only saw in his head. You can't buy anything off the forum, only the web shop, which I believe will reflect the correct pricing?

Anyway, nonsense aside, nice deal on the 960GB. Days like this I miss living in the UK. Here in NZ you can only get this Kingston up to 480GB :/

The point is advertising a price on this page. If it was a general " we are now selling blah blah "with a link for enough. But a price is being shown.

And for your next trick are you going to go and get an Argos catalogue from 10 years ago and take them to court for advertising a product at a lower price than it is now?

I take it you also expect OCUK to hack into your email and retrospectively update all the mails with special offer pricing in to make sure they're up to date?

The price was correct at the time of posting, it has since changed, if you can't understand that then I'd suggest you have bigger things to worry about than whether the price of a few SSDs has increased slightly...

It might have been a forum post, but they were advertising a price... if it no longer exists then the post should be deleted or the the price amended. While I don't personally don't give a monkeys as I don't want it , the link exists. It's the same as a paper add that gives an offer. But that will give a closing date. If the forum post doesn't state a closing date then anyone can complain if it's not honoured.

Well if it's a time constraint you want then look no further than words 3, 4 & 5 of the opening post:

[...]In stock today[...]

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.

And you're right, anyone can complain. That doesn't mean their complaint a) has any legal weight, or b) will actually get them anywhere

The HyperX is the same price, pretty much the one you should want too. I really don't get this price argument though, this part of the forum is for Latest Deals. Do you really expect a latest deal to still be running like 6 months later? I guess you think today only deals should also be extended.

You've said that they'll get done. Done with what, and 3hqt specifically for?

If it was within a "reasonable" amount of time since the post then they might in a very convoluted set of circumstances get a slap on the wrist but as the post is clearly dated and more than a month since it was posted then it isn't unreasonable to expect the price may have changed.
