new kit

When you look at your basket, at the bottom is a button called bbcode, click that and copy the text.

thanks..I did this.

Iam going to use barracuda 7200 550Gb as storage and My Gpu.
I want to install XP PRO to play older games and windows 7 to play newer games in the future.
I'm not a hardcore gamer, but like stuff to 'work'
My system is used for multimedia.

Are 2 x8gb of ram better than 4x4 Gb as I've seen commented somewhere?
Is DDR4 30000Mhz better than say 24000 for gaming?
Have I enough power inc Powered sound card?
etc

Why not 1st try to master the BB code thingy, also, is 550w not more than enough?

The case you have chosen is a bucket, why not invest in something a little nicer for an i5 build?

What about SSD? CPU cooler? RGB lighting?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £471.25
(includes shipping: £12.30)

there, added ssd I missed off.
To use bb code involves putting items in basket,my method works for me,the results are about the same and it's just as many mouse clicks.
Is 550w for power enough? I don't know,that's why I'm asking.
It has been suggested not to skimp on power,I prefer modular psu, and if and when I upgrade my GPU Imay want more power.
It may be a bucket, but is it a functional bucket? It will sit under my desk unseen and untouced except for switch on\off and suppied with 3x fitted fans.
Lighting..lol.I look at my screen and keyboard mostly, got a perfectly good light on the ceiling.

Have no budget as such.
Just trying to put a reasonable multipurpose rig together. When I play games I like smooth with reaonable amount of whistles..not too bothered with the bells.
This lots adding up to about £600. Considering I only 'need' a hard drive for my old rig, I'm happy there.

I intend on using MSI 460 gtx oc from old system.
Running XP PRO AND WINDOWS 7 I want to replay some of my old games and then upgrade GPU for some more recent ones.
I stream tv video music etc. entertainment.
