** NEW LG MONITORS - INCLUDING 2 EXCLUSIVE TO OCUK!!! **

Sure. But why did they change?

A couple of reasons below!

$/£ at launch was 1.26, when I changed the price $/£ was 1.20. I was going off on holiday for a week (camping in a tent in wales with wife and kids and zero internet access), I could see it dropping further and questioned if I should increase the price further! Even so, I only increased price by 4.4% compared to £/$ change of 5%.

I also had to take a promise to take a large quantity of stock to secure the exclusive, on nothing but a gut feeling. A bit of second guessing over whether I'd made the right decision or not, (at the time there was no reviews and I hadn't had a sample) led me to launch at a lower price than I probably should've done.

It's still a great monitor at £449.99 or £469.99!

Can't wait for the next tranche of stock to land and for you all to get playing on them!

I call absolute BS... Its a clear case of supply and demand.

Its only the GL850 model has gone up, if it was the case of the £ vs $ the whole range would have gone up in price not one item that is selling like hotcakes.

Yes it is also supply and demand. I said part of it was I set the price too low at launch and so I adjusted upwards.

This bit:

Had word today that the monitors are ETA'd to arrive next week to LG (asked for clarification on if that's landing in to Netherlands Hub or UK).

EOM/first week of October looks about right for an ETA with OCUK.

We have now sold through all the allocation for this initial stock in.

Latest news I had was that they were due to arrive at LG EU hub on 11/11/2019, but the booking slot they had there was 18/11/2019.

This seemed offensive given the wait the UK customers have had, so I've requested they make this stock a priority and improve the booking in slot, as well as making the forwarding of this stock to the UK distributor a priority.

I've also made the distributor aware of the above time-frames and asked them to give these a booking slot of max priority and ship them to OCUK as quickly as possible.

I'm doing what I can to get these monitors in the hands of those who've pre-ordered ASAP.

If they land on a Friday we'll upgrade those who want, and who contact sales (webnote with your order number, or call us), to a Saturday delivery at no extra cost.

I'll post here as soon as I have any more information.

Hi,

I heard there was stock at another UK reseller. Whilst this is true it isn't official UK stock and so the warranty is not supported by LG.

They've bought the stock from a european distributor or reseller. Hence why they are also costing more than on our site.

Buy from them at your own risk.

Yeah that's where I got the info thanks.

Was just trying to get a confirmation that only those who call up and say...'Hi, can I have fast delivery for free please' will get it

Will only be those that call up and request. Can't auto change everyone to a saturday delivery in case they don't want it delivered on a Saturday. Say perhaps if they have ordered it to their work address for a weekday delivery.

Asked LG earlier if theyd received on the 11th the account manager is chasing around tgrying to find out and has been since this morning. I'll update as soon as I have any information!

They are being booked into UK distributor as I type.

This should be enough to fulfil all current pre-orders and then a couple of dozen for free sale. After that I have no ETA for any more stock.

Should be here and booked in to our warehouse ready for shipment tomorrow or Monday!

That's great to hear, hopefully you can get the earliest preorders sorted tomorrow for delivery on Sat? I'm early Sept pre-order, and have a long weekend at home to look forward to! Thanks

If you want a saturday delivery call up or webnote into sales who will arrange at no extra cost (if you haven't already!).

Sent a message over webnote for delivery option upgrade and ATM was kicked away as I live in ROI o_O

Ah yeah, they literally can't guarantee they'll be able to get a boat or flight.

Since they can't guarantee it they won't offer it as an option for us to use.

There was a holdup at the distributor for 2/3 of the stock yesterday so I arranged for them to "same day ship" the remaining 2/3 this morning.

the 1st 1/3 arrived mid-afternoon and then the lorry with the remaining had a flat tyre halfway and so only arrived about 17:20.

Some of the guys have stayed behind to ship as many orders as they can (fingers crossed all of them).

I hope you all enjoy your monitors, apologies to those who had to wait such a long time (some since August) and thanks for your patience!

So all the monitors have been shipped out today that you had?

I don't know.

The guys are probably still there working through them. The lorry arrived at 17:20 and they started working through them, I meanwhile had to go pick up the kids and head home at 17:30.

I'd wait until at least 19:00 before abandoning hope.

VPN'd in just to work and yes Filip and the heroes who stayed behind got everything we have been supplied shipped out!

I've already asked when we can expect more supply. If you ain't had a shipping notification this evening and/or want to get a pre-order on, watch this space!

I'll post updates when I get them!

Oh man, what a disappointment. And it is out of stock, which I don't understand. They have lots of stock in Spain, same in France and Germany. What is going on? Why can't Overclockers get enough stock?

I've been asking this question and haven't had an answer.

We currently have a few dozen screens scheduled for delivery to OCUK in December, which will only just about cover the pre-orders on the books now.

I guess they are currently able to produce/cherry pick around 500 or so of these panels which are good enough for this SKU each month. Container shipping the majority of those to a territory or 2 in rotation. Then splitting the remainder air freight, to let each territory have something at least.

If you can't wait for an official UK stockist (i.e. us) then consider potential RMA costs if you have any issues with your monitors. You'll be wanting to choose those resellers which will pay the return shipping in case of a DOA or faulty return. To save you the cost of shipping a monitor back to the continent.

In the meantime I'll keep pushing for more official UK stock!
